Cambridgeshire Kartsport 01954 719 192 We are pleased to annouce the launch of our very successful program to introduce drivers with disabiities to the exciting and flexible work are kart racing. Our program has proven effective in bringing hiding talents and nuturing into skills which enable out drivers to participate into longer opportunities for a few. |
We have worked incredibly hard to make this possible and have engaged the skills and services from two extremely valued sponsorsor:
With the technology in place and the funding from our sponsors it has been possible to customer design and build our first twin seater kart for the sole use of our disabled customers, this vehicle enables trust and confidence in our drivers to become more of a stable driver thus allowing them to take full control and move to single seat karts.
We have found (from our own experience) this an exceptional tool to help with those who have conditions such as Autism and ADHD. We have found that this is a great piece of fun for some who have been to test with us whilst building our program who have Downs.
What we gain from our program is not only the smiles and the tears in our eyes, but to provide a service and facility to all.
The owner of the business knows very well what can be acheived even if a disability can be seen as an obsticle.
We have partnered with a regional college who are working extremely hard to fine tune and develop, through there own programs a vehicle which WILL be able to sustain the FULL CONTROL and with electronic controls which we currently utilise to enable partial and non-sighted drivers.
We have tested many different functions and have confidence in the new program for BLIND KARTERS.
A message for you to think about?
Every person with a disability lives with it - not against it! The person will always compensate with what they have given them a real advantage. Try writing with the wrong hand or do a days work without using you other arm, you will find in a very short time that you can adapt even to very small steps - BUT YOU WILL.
A Blind person is capable to walking around there our environment or across a road even with aids but is able to do it - HOW??
Here is our current kart, we are about to launch for the use on our circuit.
